1 Corinthians 13:4

Just sitting at the table,

Why was it so hard to find love?

I’m trying to find the answer,

Even looking up above.

I came to one conclusion,

Let me tell you this.

To first find love,

You need know what it is.

Love is patience,

It is well worth the wait.

Love is kind,

There’s no need to hesitate.

Love does not envy,

It’s always happy just to be.

Love does not boast,

It just for you and me.

As I came to realize,

I began to jot it down.

Making a long list,

Of the answers that I have found.

Just sitting at my table,

These things that came to me.

Have always been there,

Back in my memory.

Love is not rude,

It’s as polite as can be.

Love is not self seeking,

I hope we all agree.

Love is not easily angered,

It will help you overcome.

Love keeps no record,

The wrongs will soon be gone.

I haven’t heard these words,

Ever since I was a child.

Always tried to be the good one,

But tempted by the wild.

Still sitting at my table,

Just thinking of these words.

Now knowing I’m in love.

A thought that just occurred.

Love does not delight in evil,

It always wants the truth.

Love always protects,

Like I will protect you.

Love always trust,

With this trust I found hope.

Love always perseveres,

Now we will always cope.

Just sitting at the table,

Knowing that I found love.

You have been my answer.

What was I thinking of?

We will always be together,

We just need you and I.

And until my last breath,

My love for you will never die.
